China's First Self-Developed Modular GMP Stem Cell Factory Landing in Daxing Airport Free Trade Zone

On December 23, 2021, the launching ceremony of the modular GMP cell factory, an advanced sample preparation system for clinical grade stem cell preparations and a public service platform for full traceability, was officially held in Daxing Linkong Free Trade Zone. Marking the first GMP stem cell factory built with modular technology independently developed by the whole process in China officially landed in Daxing Airport Free Trade Zone.

Daxing District Director of the Science and Technology Commission, Su Rong Deputy Director of Tian Xinghua, Dong Xu, Feng Mixiang, Wang Lu, Assistant Director ,Wang Xincheng, Office Director Wang Jiuchao , Director of China Merchants Bureau, Wang Lunmao, Bonuo Biological, Li Chunying, Beijing Dynaflow Rubik's Cube Technology Co., Ltd., Chairman of ChiHaiPeng, Zhao Yan New Drugs and representatives from China Mobile, Zhaoyan New Medicine, Aige stem cell and Beijing Cell were invited to attend the launch ceremony.

The plant consists of several modules, which can realize B+A purification level stem cell product pilot test platform, quality control platform, research and development platform, cell storage, stem cell preparation traceability management system, etc. It is suitable for the research, production and testing of stem cells, CAR-T, single antibody and other large molecular biological drug products.

After the construction of GMP stem cell factory, it can realize multi-dimensional scientific research scene transformation according to different scientific research needs, and provide a public service platform for pilot production of cell drug development and collaborative research and development of multi-disciplinary scientist team in China. Promote the implementation and transformation of cell drugs and their derivative products technology and scientific research achievements in China.

Dynaflow Rubik's Cube GMP cell factory prefabricated in the factory, the whole site of the skid, combined into a high-level clean workshop, after the skid can be put into use. The construction of the 1,000-square-meter plant, which requires 60 workers to work for 90 days in a row, has been reduced to eight hours with modular construction. This technology brings a new industrial revolution to the field of traditional biopharmaceutical factory construction.

They listened to detailed reports on project implementation and progress and gave further guidance.

At the meeting, Chi Haipeng, Chairman of Beijing Dynaflow Lab Solutions Co., Ltd. introduced that GMP stem cell factory consists of six standardized modules: dressing module, logistics transfer module, 3 cell production, operation module, finished products and sewage export module. Beijing Dynaflow Lab Solutions Co., Ltd. adopts advanced building industry 4.0 technology and BIM design above LOD400 (architectural Society of America evaluation standard for BIM design grade) to carry out comprehensive in-depth design of GMP stem cell factory, and disassemble it into modules that can be used for rapid production and assembly. Designers in the computer to pre-simulate the whole stem cell factory from the design, production, manufacturing, transportation, installation of the whole process, to avoid the traditional mode of operation rely on the experience of workers, by the factory standardized production, on-site high-precision mechanized installation, improve work efficiency at the same time to achieve GMP factory construction standardization; the module is standardized design, and can be recombined and applied with the change of construction site, to meet the whole life cycle management from design, production, application, relocation and recycling; and a number of national invention patents.

In the past, the discharge of processing pollutants produced by the implementation of 1 square meter laboratory is about 50~150 grams. 1000 square meters of GMP stem cell factory, the conventional implementation of pollutant emissions will reach 50-150 kg, and the use of the factory prefabricated, on-site skid technology implementation will be reduced to 2.1 kg, pollutant discharge is only 3.9%.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of December 2021 and put into operation in February 2022. It mainly provides a market-oriented and professional service platform for the transformation of stem cell technology achievements in universities, hospitals and institutes in Beijing, including stem cell drug research and development, proof of concept, process research and development, pilot-scale trial, production and so on. To promote the aggregation and development of stem cell industry in Beijing Daxing International Airport Free Trade Zone.
