At 19:00 on April 25th, U.S. time (7:00 on April 26th, Beijing time), at the 2023 Education Week event organized by the I2SL Association (International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories), Vice President of Engineering Department of Beijing Dynaflow Lab Solutions Co.,Ltd. Manager Wang Yuchen, as one of the award-winning project representatives, shared the design ideas and implementation advantages of the Wanhua Chemical Group Global R&D Center project. (This project has won the 2022 Outstanding Contribution Award for New Buildings issued by the I2SL Association.)
Wanhua Global R&D Center is located in Yantai City, Shandong Province, China. The first phase of the project consists of 7 laboratory buildings, each with an area of about 6850m2.
The laboratory of Wanhua Global R&D Center fully adopts the standardized design of prefabricated modules, and any standard unit can be equipped with independent rooms and equipment. Through the design of open laboratories, open walkways, logistics elevators, and laboratory logistics corridors, it not only ensures that the experimental area is dry and wet, but also increases the usable area by 20%.
The perfect combination of Dynaflow's BIMLOD500 level model design and automated production workshop ensures the 1:1 reproduction of the laboratory. Each prefabricated module is prefabricated in the factory according to the drawings, and 80% of the work of the prefabricated implementation is replaced by 12 robots. The product error is controlled within 1mm, and the overall labor time is saved by 83.35%. At the same time, the factory adopts nailless riveting (SPR) technology to purify the necessary welding waste gas and then recycle it in a centralized manner. In this process, the collection efficiency is 80%, the purification efficiency is 90%, and the overall recovery rate reaches 92.40%, which reduces the exhaust gas emission by 72%, and greatly reduces the exhaust gas caused by the welding process.
Factory prefabrication greatly reduces on-site construction content. There are only simple tool-assembled assemblies on the construction site, and the on-site assembly efficiency is increased by 140 times. Taking C1 building as an example, a laboratory building with an area of 8000 square meters and 8 skilled workers can be completed in 3 days construction. In addition, the dust, noise and other pollution generated during the construction process have been greatly reduced, and the PM2.5 of the indoor prefabricated implementation is up to 30.4, which is reduced to 3.2% of the traditional construction. The highest noise level is 60 decibels, and the overall construction environment is good.
After Wanhua's global R&D center is completed, the energy saving will reach more than 63.5%, the water saving will reach more than 20%, and the dust removal efficiency will reach more than 90%. It can reduce CO2 emissions by 211,000 tons per year and save operating costs by 18.85 million yuan per year.
